The royal backdrop of Rajasthan, the journey through the forts, the views from the jharokhas inspired the design of Pushkar Resorts. The client’s house depicts the royal palace from where he can overlook his estate which in the form of a resort connects the two eras. He would arrive through the city gateway, drive past the sarai gradually rising up the orchard slope to eventually arrive on the pool terrace that looks back across to the tower and the bhool bhulaiya village. Contrasting with the private enclosures of the havelis of bhool bhulaiya there awaits a chance to be one with nature. Facilities like the meditation halls, spas and therapy rooms, where one can let their mind wander and experience being one with nature has been provided. The chhatri overlooking the lake is a high point of the experience. The lake is a part of the eco-system that manages the waste and provides water for the gowth of flaura and fauna. The Bhool bhulaiya is a complete getaway from the daily routine where each residence has its own patch of green and own piece of sky, placed in such a way that surprises the user on the way to each destination point.
